Women #41 AWARD WINNER

Judge – Tariq Gibran, MFA – Curator of the Museum of Art – DeLand “A beautifully realized symphony of lush patterns, bright hues and curvy, organic shapes and figures.  In one respect, the painting can be viewed as a very modern depiction with unquestionable Matisse and asian influence.  Yet there also exists a very complex composition at play with the overall painting consisting of multiple “vignettes”, each its own smaller composition within the larger painting.  It’s quite a masterful achievement that these smaller compositions, each of which are made up of distinct shapes, patterns and colors are able to be united so organically as to create the overall composition of the painting.  This an extremely rewarding painting to view.”
